NOWa is a design platform manifested by myself, Nathan Otto Waisath, with the obsession of executing beautiful realizations in Architecture, Art, Apparel and Audio.  The defining force of NOWa, strives for refined solutions that balance aesthetics and efficiency.

   A graduate of Illinois Institute of Technology, I am a licensed Architect in the state of Illinois who has held positions at renown firms in Chicago, San Diego & San Francisco.  My architectural career thus far has been marked by a systematically reduced aesthetic.  My strengths lie in three-dimensional spacial study, volumetric discretion, astute material selection, and intricate detailing that holds true through construction.  Working on a wide variety of building typologies and construction methods, I have gained versatile knowledge which I selectively impose and adapt depending on the challenge at hand. I am well versed in evolving early conceptual ideas into built realities through rigorous development and study.  I strongly believe dynamic design enhances life. 

  Outside of architecture, I am fascinated with the primal joy of music, the relief of impulsive sketching and the evolution of "style".  I recently finished my first season of custom garments, including many up-cycle redirections, be on the lookout for the brands "Unless Noted Otherwise" & "ChicagOcean".
